The Sands is being developed by Benchmark Leisure Ltd in conjunction with Scarborough Borough Council. Benchmark is a successful North East based developer with an established track record in the development of high quality medical, leisure, commercial and residential schemes across the UK.

Benchmark has commissioned Leeds based award winning Carey Jones Architects to design and masterplan The Sands, and the first phases of Buy to Live and Buy to Let apartments will commence on site in 2006.
